Ever since I was a child, I was interested in dreams. Why do we dream? What do dreams mean? With the acquire of the internet back in 2005, I learned a lot about more about dreaming but I soon lost interest near the end of 05… sometime around November. I wrote a lot of fact sheets about different types of dreams in an old GameSpot union but it became really inactive and eventually deleted by GameSpot. I also forgot about what I learned.
Just right now, I had a strange dream. In my dream, my back was being tugged. Right after, I quickly woke up, stomach on my bed, and I actually felt that tug in real life.
I’m home alone right now so nobody could have possibly came in my room. My point is, it’s weird how whatever happens to your body in real life, it affects you in your dream. It’s like your dream knows something will happen to your body and it cooperation that action in your dream.
As an example, in a dream, let’s say your dad takes a trip with you and your family to the Grand Canyon. Your dad is driving in a Toyota and you hitchhike near the edge of the canyon. Wind blows furiously and knocks you off the canyon. You land but your still alive and end up hurting your leg.
Now, this is what happened in real life. Your ceiling fan was blowing so hard that it knocked a souvenir off your shelf and landed on your leg. When you wake up, your leg hurts by the impact of your souvenir. When you turn your head, a Toyota commercial is on showing a Toyota driving near the Grand Canyon. This could be a little over exaggerated but I hope I get my point across.
I recently came across this “Top 10 Amazing Facts About Dreams” article. It’s really interesting because some of the things the author wrote I knew about before but forgotten.
