…delays. This is a response to my previous Next on my To Get List blog, posted on March 21st. For some reason, the game developers that are developing some of the games on my list thought it would be wise to delay their games to 2008. Well, whatever get’s the job done I guess. I’d rather have a delayed game than an unfinished game.

My Wii/Xbox 360 Collection currently stands at:

Xbox 360: 2 wireless controllers, 1 DDR Pad, Dead Rising, Saints Row, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007, Gears of War, Viva Pinata, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Dance Dance Revolution Universe, Burnout Revenge, Geometry Wars, Assault Heroes, Uno, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I forgot to add my XBL games last time.

Wii: 2 Wii Remotes, 2 Nunchucks, Wii Sports, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Mario Party 8, Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Mario Kart 64, and Paper Mario.

Burnout Revenge is awesome. Pokemon Diamond is awesome. Mario Party 8 is meh. Super Paper Mario is awesome. Resident Evil 4 is still awesome. I haven’t played Pokemon Battle Revolution yet. Mario Kart 64 and Paper Mario are still awesome. And I don’t trust that Blue Dragon is a great game.

Anyway, to my list, now updated…

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party

DDR Hottest Party is set to release in September 25th. This will probably be the last DDR game I will ever buy because the series has been lacking. I never owned an Eyetoy so with Hottest Party, moving your hands will DDRing will be a new experience for me.

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario galaxy is set to release in November 12th. Nintendo says this is the true sequel to Super Mario 64. Hopefully they live up to their word.

Assassin’s Creed

LOL @ the bug at e3.

But yeah… Ubisoft said they fixed it… hopefully.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Smash updates get me more and more hyped up about this game. Hopefully it has Wifi so we can set up tournaments.

Many, many games.

I might also buy some Xbox Live Arcade and Virtual Console games here and there. I’m expecting Super Mario RPG to appear on the VC sometime this year or next year and I might buy Boom Boom Rocket from XLA.

That’s what I expect for 2007.. Now onto 2008+

Animal Crossing Wii (working title) – TBA

Back to the present, I’ve been playing a lot of Paper Mario lately. I’ve been switching from Paper Mario 64 to TTYD to SPM. I also need to catch up on some more games like Pokemon BR, and RE4. My friend let me borrow Kameo a few months ago. I think he forgot about it… I might buy it off of him for like $20. Also, I might buy Bioshock if I have some cash left over.

I’m waiting for some $20-30 price drops for games like Rayman Raving Rabbids, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, and Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions. Some that already have a price drop that I might consider buying are Table Tennis and Ridge Racer 6.

I didn’t add my PC wish list because I still don’t have a graphics card to support the games I want. But once I do, I’ll buy Battlefield 2, San Andreas, Gears of War, The Sims 3 (2009), and Spore (whenever that comes out). I’ll think of other games along the way.

Some game series that I’m could be completely through with (meaning I won’t buy any upcoming sequels) are Mario Party, Smackdown, and DDR. There is only one thing that Mario Party should have that will redeem itself.. and that’s online play. Mario Party 8 practically screams online play. Hopefully Nintendo adds in in the sequel. Smackdown is tuning into Madden. They’re using the same half-assed season mode with just an updated roster. The free-running seems promising since I hated running like a robot. I’ll just wait and see how things turn out…

DDR… Konami’s strategy is to please the casual crowd and not the hardcore DDR crowd. Every year, all Konami does is update the songlist, release 2 different games on 2 different consoles. A casual gamer, someone who doesn’t play DDR games but knows about it, will see “Dance Dance Revolution” on the box cover will buy it. Konami puts absolutely no effort into their DDR games. I’m only buying Hottest Party for the Wii controls but don’t expect me to buy Hottest Party 2 next year. If Konami fixes the online mode to where you can actually change arrow speeds, then I’ll buy Hottest Party 2 (assuming it will have online), Universe 2, whatever. That’s an improvement I’ve been waiting for since Extreme 2.

Update: According to this pic, you can edit you’re own character for Quest Mode! As soon as I get more info on the Quest Mode, hopefully it’s better than Universe 1’s horrible quest mode, then it’s a buy.

So yeah, that’s pretty much what’s happening in with video-games and me right now. Suggestions will be nice.

Music! Alter Bridge’s new album, Blackbird, and Puddle of Mudd’s new album, Famous, will release on the same day, October 9th. Weeeird…

And that’s about all I can tell you right now.
